There are many species of Flesh Fly, most looking similar - a large fly with black stripes on a lighter grey thorax and a chequerboard black, grey and white abdomen.
Most have red eyes and large feet.
Flesh flies lay hatching eggs or new maggots in decomposing flesh or live flesh with open wound(s). Adults will also eat flesh.
