The adult Satellite Moth is a large, brownish moth (over 40mm wingspan) prevalent over most of northern and temperate Eurasia, named after small white dots around the stigmata on the wings. Its dark brown caterpillar has a few small white marks on the flanks. It eats leaves of many trees and shrubs as well as other caterpillars and larvae.
