The caterpillar of the Common Postman butterfly is white and spiky, a little similar to that of the Zebra Longwing but with
a pink head rather than white and without the orange underside. The Small Postman (not shown on this page) has black striping
on the white background and a black underside. They eat mainly passion vines which gives them and the adult butterflies toxicity.
