The adult Cabbage Moth is a large, brown moth (c. 40mm wingspan) prevalent over most of Eurasia
and North Africa. Its caterpillar is extremely variable, with green, brown, grey and almost black variants and with
green or brown heads. It grows to some 40mm long and is a pest to cabbage and other brassica plants, destroying the hearts of the vegetable.
It also eats many other herbaceous plants.
