The enormous caterpillar of the (Giant) Atlas Moth is pale green with white and black spikes and a strange white "itching" powder which tastes foul to predators.
It has "pink lips" at its rear end.
Native to forests of Asia, it eats leaves of citrus, cinnamon, guava and evergreens.
It can grow to 11-12cm long.
