Vine Hopper Scolypopa australis

Passion Vine Hopper
Passion Vine Hopper
The Passion Vine Hopper, also just Vine Hopper, is native to Australia and introduced to New Zealand where it is a significant plant pest. The adult, above, is 5-6mm long but the damage is caused by the wingless nymphs (called "fluffy bums") which amass on plants (not just passion vines), suck sap and secrete honeydew.
