The Asiraca clavicornis is a planthopper inhabiting grassland. In the UK its prescence has declined from southern to around London. It is about 4mm long. It is recognisable by its large, leg-like antennae, unusual on plant and leaf hoppers, and by its very muscular front legs. It also has white socks on the front two pairs of legs.
