Liocoris tripustulatus is usually a dark bug with three bright yellow or yellowy-green points on its back: its scutellum (triangular shield) and each cuneus (wing case tip). It sometimes has other small yellow marks also and often has a faint yellowish band across the central back. Pale forms also appear. The legs are stripey.
