Cicadella Viridis Leafhopper Cicadella viridis

Cicadella viridis is a colourful Leafhopper that lives in damp grassland. It is some 6-8mm long. The female has a green back with whitish wingtips and yellow head; the pronutum is yellow and green and the body has a yellowy-green underside. The male is similar but with a bluer-green back with black markings sometimes almost fully black.
