Lineatus Froghopper Neophilaenus lineatus

Neophilaenus lineatus is a Froghopper or Spittlebug native to much of temperate Eurasia and North America. It is well-camouflaged on the summer plant stems above. It has a distinctive white border to its straight-edged, veined forewings and a lined face including its eyes.

There is a Common Froghopper pattern that looks slightly similar but has no veined wings and just one eye stripe.
