The Two-spotted Assassin Bug, also called the Twin-spot Assassin and White-spot Assassin, is native to tropical Africa,
particularly to West Africa.
Unusual for bugs but like other Assassin Bugs, it eats other insects rather than plant juices.
It has piercing mouthparts that inject venom before sucking its victim dry.
Adults are 10-40mm long and have a white spot on each wing case.
The nymph starts life red and becomes black with later instars.
