Silky Digger Wasp Sphex sericeus

The Silky Digger Wasp is native to South and Southeast Asia and part of Australasia. It is one of the many "digger" wasps that sting and paralyze insect prey then dig (or find) a hole in the ground, carry/haul the prey into the hole for its hatched larva/larvae to eat, then lay one or more eggs in the hole.
