The tall, ornate, disused chimney on the house next door was deemed a safety hazard and reduced to a few feet, topped with paving slabs
and a couple of side airbricks. It didn't take long for a feral swarm of Honey Bees to move in - they and their relatives stayed a couple of decades.
Sometimes they swarmed . . .
and the sky was full of fast-moving bees
Then they would settle back home again -- or another colony moved in.
