Hycleus pustulatus is a blister beetle native to India, Sri Lanka, Java and southern China.
It is sometimes erroneously called Mylabris pustulata; most Mylabris species are native to temperate Eurasia/North Africa
and most Hycleus species to tropical Africa/Asia. Pustulatus grows to 15-33mm long. These beautiful photos
were taken in southern India by Dr Harsha Vardhan Reddy.
