Azure Dartlet Amphiallagma parvum

The Azure Dartlet is a small damselfly native to South Asia (Indian subcontinent, Myanmar, Thailand). This beautiful male was photographed in India by Dr Harshan Vardhan Reddy. The male is turquoise blue with some black stripes on the thorax, black on the back of the blue body and a blue tail. The pterostigma is white. The female is usually greenish yellow but can be blue.
