The Spot Monkey Grasshopper is a primative species native to Indochina.
Male (above left) and female (above right) look very different with the former having light green
with dark brown and a bright turquoise blue spot and the latter being camouflaged pale brown.
As usual with grasshoppers, the female is larger than the male. Both are small. He is some 2cm
and she is about 3 cm.
Being primitive, their native diet is mainly ancient plants such as ferns and algae.
