The two Bush-crickets (also Bush Crickets) above were photographed on the northern part of the island of Tenerife.
This one is Platycleis sabulosa taken up in the meadow grasslands of Teno Alto - many thanks to
Werner Reitmeier in Austria for the ID. They can be green or brown depending on season/habitat.
(I don't approve of the way in which our friend, a local resident, is holding the cricket.)
