The Spotted Moray Eel, also called the Black-spotted (as is the Laced/Tessellated), is native to coral reefs
of the Indo-Pacific.
The body pattern is variable with black spots on a white or offwhite/beige background. Those above,
and some elsewhere on this page, are thought to be the Spotted, G. isingteena, but some can look similar to
the Laced or Tessellated Moray, G favagineus.
There are two different individual morays and species above (Laced and Spotted) - and three in the centre image (+ Green).
Another different pattern. It grows to about 1.8 metres long.
