The Fangtooth Moray Eel (shown above with the Black Moray), also called the Tiger Moray, is native to reefs and rocks of
the warm northeastern Atlantic, including the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands and Azores.
It has a tan-yellow head and long, sharp, glass-like teeth. It grows to 1.2 of a metre long.
It is a nocturnal predator, with its cryptic patterns helping it to hide in rocks in the day.
Prey is fish, crustaceans and cephalopods (octopus, squid, cuttlefish, nautilus).
