Spiny lobsters, also called rock lobsters, don't have claws with pincers. The Caribbean Spiny Lobster is native to reefs, seagrass meadows and mangrove swamps of the western Atlantic Ocean from Carolina, USA, to Brazil including the Caribbean. Its body is usually olive grey-green or brown with two rows of white spots and with segments bordered with black and white bands. It has long, banded antennae and striped legs. The tail lobes are yellow and black. It can grow to 60cm (2 feet) long.
