Psychedelic Wrasse Anampses chrysocephalus

The Psychedelic Wrasse, also called the Redtail Tamarin Wrasse, is native to reefs and coasts of Hawaii. They are all born female with a dark blackish body, white spots and a red tail.

The largest, most dominant female transitions to male and the body becomes dark red with light spots and the head becomes light red with pale blue spots (as above). Males grow to some 17cm long.
