Jansen's Wrasse Thalassoma jansenii

Jansen's Wrasse is native to reefs of the Indian and western Pacific Oceans, from the Maldives to Fiji.

With black (looking purple in the images) and white bars, it can look similar to the related Black-barred Wrasse of the southwest Pacific. Terminal males have black with yellow bars. They can grow to 20cm long.
