The Crescent-tail Hogfish, also called Candy Cane Hogfish, is a wrasse native to reefs of the Pacific Ocean, from Indonesia to the central Pacific. It grows to 9cm long. Its white pelvic fins and caudal crescent differentiate it from the similar-looking Masuda's Hogfish, B. masudai, also of the western Pacific and also called the Candy-striped Hogfish.
