The Fourspot Wrasse, also called the Triplespot in line with its scientific name, is native to coral reefs of the western Indian Ocean. It grows to about 10cm length.

Above left is a juvenile that hasn't yet fully developed its 4 black spots. They live in small groups of females with a dominant male. An adult female can change to male if the male goes missing. They will burrow under sand if frightened or at night.
