The Red-toothed Triggerfish, also called the Blue and the Niger, is native to the Indian and western Pacific Oceans.
As its name indicates, it has sharp, red, protuding teeth. Usually purple, they can vary their body colour slightly. The only species
in their genus, they can grow to some 50 cm long.
Diet is plankton, small crustaceans and sponges. A pair will make a nest for the eggs which both guard and the female
will look after.
