The Grey Triggerfish (also Gray) is native to the coastal margins of the Atlantic Ocean, both along the Americas
and Africa/Mediterranean/Europe. It has moved north in recent years with global warming.
They can grow to some 60 cm long. Diet is marine invertebrates. A male guards a territory and makes
several nests in the hope that one or more females will lay eggs, which the female then guards until hatching.
The juvenile is a stronger yellow or light brown colour with a stronger barring.
