The Striped Large-eye Bream, also called Goldspot Bream/Glowfish, is a Threadfin Bream not closely related to the Seabreams.
The only species in its genus, it is native to tropical and subtropical reefs of the Indian and western Pacific Oceans.
As well as gold stripes, it has a golden spot at the rear of the dorsal fin and it grows to 20cm long. It is nocturnal.
