The Arabian Tang, also called the Sohal Tang or Sohal Surgeonfish, is native to reefs of the Red Sea,
Persian Gulf and Arabian Sea.
It has sharp orange spines near its tail and it grows to some 40cm long. Diet is mainly algae.
Juveniles look different and do not have the blue-edged, lunate, streaming tail.
There is also an orange patch behind the pectoral fin and the pectoral fin itself sometimes seems
like an orange glowlight.
