The Elongate Surgeonfish is also called the Blue-lined Surgeonfish, the latter name confusing with the alternative name of the Striped Surgeonfish and also with the Blueline Surgeonfish. It is native to the Indian Ocean to the mid-Pacific. It has faint light blue lines on its body and yellow on its face (mainly eyeline and lips. The Eyestripe Surgeonfish also has a yellow line through the eye). The dorsal fin is also yellow. It can grow to 50cm long and diet is mainly plankton.
