The Chinamanfish is a threadfin snapper related to the Sailfin Snapper which the juveniles above resemble
but the adults resemble the Lutjanus genus of snappers. It is native to reefs of the western Pacific region, from western
Thailand to northern Australia.
It is the only fish in its genus. The fish can grow to a metre long, but is usually less than half that.
It is usually solitary, pairing to spawn. Diet is small fish, crustaceans and molluscs.
