The Bluestripe Snapper, also called the Common Bluestripe Snapper and Fourline Snapper, among other names, is native to reefs of
the Indian and western Pacific Oceans. The stripes on the yellow body with lighter belly can look pale blue or white. Adult fish grow to 40cm.
They form large schools.
(It is a different fish to the solitary Bluestriped Snapper, L. notatus of the Indian Ocean.)
