The Spotted Siklefish is native to tropical and temperate coastal and estuarine/harbour marine waters
in the Indo-Pacific from India to Japan/Australia. A roundish, laterally-compressed fish, sicklefish are distantly related
to Batfish (Platax spp.) and are named after their long, sickle-shaped pectoral fins. The Spotted Sicklefish has a
silver background with small black spots on the body.
It can grow to 50cm but is more usually half that size.
