Speckled Sandperch Parapercis hexophtalma

The Speckled Sandperch is one of a large family of sandperches. It is native to sandy and rubble substrate of reefs in the tropical Indian and western Pacific Oceans (the latter as far as Sumatra). Growing to about 28cm long, all are born female and some transition to male after maturity. Females have a spotty face and males have lines on the face.
