Blue Rockfish Sebastes mystinus

The Blue Rockfish, also called the Blue Seaperch can look similar to the Black Rockfish but the latter has a more rounded anal fin and longer mouth and the former a more straight-edged anal fin. It is also similar to the Deacon Rockfish, S. diaconus, which was separated as a species only in 2009-2015. It is native to the continental shelf of North America's Pacific coast from Washington state to California. It can grow to 60cm long.
