Streaked Rabbitfish Siganus javus

The Streaked Rabbitfish, also called the Streaked or Java Spinefoot, is native to coasts and reefs of the Indian and western Pacific from the Arabian Gulf to northern Australia.

It grows typically to 30cm long but can attain 50cm. Diet is mainly algae. It can raise its venomous spines against predators and cause painful stings to humans.
