Magnificent Rabbitfish
The Magnificent Rabbitfish, also called the Andaman Foxface, is native to reefs of the eastern Indian Ocean. The name Fox-face relates to the shape of its face; rabbitfish, a genus including the spinefoots, relates to its small mouth and its habit of constant nibbling at reefs. It grows to 24cm long. The dorsal spines, raised against predators, are venomous.
