The Guinean Puffer, despite its name, is native to much of the northeastern Atlantic coast line from
France to Angola. It has other vernacular names including the Banded-tail Blowfish.
It has large, frog-like eyes, tiny spikes on its body and grows to 20cm long.
Like all pufferfish, it can inflate its body to over 3-4 times its size as a warning to predators and it contains a deadly toxin.
