The Three-bearded Rockling is an elongated fish related to Ling and Cod. It is native to northwestern European seas from the Faroe Islands/Norway to the western Mediterranean. It grows to some 2 feet (60cm) long and is lightish brown or reddish brown with dark brown leopard spots. It is named after its 3 barbels: 2 on its snout and one on its chin. It skulks around rocks.
