The Longnose Hawkfish is native to shallow tropical reefs in the Indian and western Pacific Oceans.
Hawkfish are not aggressive, they are named after their tendency to sit on top of corals to survey the area, like hawks.
The Longnose Hawkfish is distinctive with its elongated snout. It has a squared red and white pattern for camouflage from predators.
It grows to 13cm long.
