The Flame Hawkfish is native to tropical reefs from the western to the central Pacific Ocean.
Hawkfish are not aggressive, they are named after their tendency to sit in or perch on top of corals and "hop" from place to place
like hawks since they don't have swimbladders.
The red Flame Hawkfish reaches a length of 9cm. It forms monogamous pairs. Diet is small crustaceans.
