Prawn Gobies share burrows with species of prawn or shrimp, the goby being the sentry providing warning and protection
and receiving use of a burrow dug by the poor-sighted crustacean in return. The Spotted Prawn Goby, also called Orange-spotted Shrimp Goby,
is native to shallow reefs of the western Pacific.
It grows to 11cm long. (The shrimp sharing here is the Fine-striped Snapping Shrimp, Alpheus ochrostriatus.)
