Helfrich's Firefish Nemateleotris helfrichi

Helfrich's Firefish, also called Helfrich's Dartfish, is native to the sea bed around Indonesia to the southern Pacific. They grow to 5-6cm long and are brightly coloured purple, blue and white with a yellow head from their diet of zooplankton. They are shy and form monogamous pairs which sleep in sand burrows.
