The Bristletail (also Bristle-tail) Filefish is also called the Seagrass, Tomentosus or Aiptasia-eating Filefish,
the last because of its appetite for Aiptasia anemone.
It is native to coral reefs of the eastern Indian and western Pacific Oceans.
It is able to adjust its skin texture, colour and patterns for maximum camouflage. Being a filefish, it also has
an erectible first dorsal fin like a sharp spine.
It can grow to 14cm long but is usually no more than 9cm. It feeds on tiny crustaceans, molluscs and worms
as well as certain anemones.
