Flower Cardinalfish Ostorhinchus fleurieu

The Flower Cardinalfish, also called the Ringtail(ed) Cardinalfish (as is the similar-looking O. aureus), is native to shallow reefs of the Indian and western Pacific Oceans. A copper-coloured schooling fish, it grows to 12-13cm long. Juveniles have a black spot by the tail instead of the adult's black bar. Like most cardinalfish, is large-eyed and nocturnal.
