The Yellowhead Butterflyfish is native to coral reefs of the Indian Ocean.
The fish can grow to 20cm long.
The eggs of butterflyfish hatch into larvae which drift in the ocean current for a significant time before
developing into juveniles. The Yellowhead has been known to hydridise with the closely-related Saddle Butterflyfish.
