Five-banded Butterflyfish Parachaetodon ocellatus

The Five-banded Butterflyfish, also called the Ocellate(d) and the Six-spined, is the only species in its genus. It is native to coastal, tropical reefs of the eastern Indian and western Pacific Oceans. The false eyespot below the dorsal fin and on the tail wrist deceives predators in direction of travel. Adults reach some 18cm long.
