The Jewelled Rockskipper Blenny, also called Lawnmower Blenny for its appetite feeding on algae, is native to
shallow, algae-covered reefs of the Indo-Pacific, from East Africa to the central Pacific.
They have a striped camouflage pattern but also can change their brownish colour slightly to blend with their
background. They grow to some 14cm in length.
Despite the name Lawnmower, algae makes up only a small share of their diet, most being detritus.
