Red Bigeye Priacanthus macracanthus

Bigeyes are sometimes called snappers but they are not related to true snappers. Most are red. They hide under rocks and use their good eyesight to stalk prey (mussels and small crustaceans). The Red Bigeye is native to reefs of the IndoPacific and grows to some 30cm long.
