The Tobaccofish, also called Tobacco Bass, is related to the large Bass and Grouper fish as well as
to the small, colourful Fairy Basslets. It is native to tropical and subtropical reefs of the western Atlantic
(from Florida/Bermuda via the Caribbean to northern Brazil).
It grows to some 16cm typically and to 22cm maximum. Often solitary but associating with goatfish when feeding,
it eats small fish and crustaceans from the seabed.
