Majestic Angelfish Pomacanthus navarchus

The Majestic Angelfish, sometimes called the Blue-girdled, is native to reefs of the Pacific Ocean, mainly around Indonesia, the Philippines, Australasia and Micronesia.

Adults are solitary and can reach some 28 cm long. They start as adult females and transition to males.

Juveniles (not shown), like many Angelfish, are dark blue with white stripes.
